The video files you upload are used exclusively for:

• Processing through our AI transcription service (Deepgram API)
• Generating text transcriptions of your video content
• Providing you with the transcription results

Important: We do not use your videos for any other purpose, including training AI models or analysis.

3. Data Storage and Retention

• Temporary Processing: Video files are temporarily stored only during the transcription process
• Automatic Deletion: All uploaded videos and generated transcriptions are automatically deleted immediately after processing
• No Permanent Storage: We do not maintain any permanent copies of your content
• Server Logs: Basic technical logs are retained for up to 30 days for service maintenance purposes

4. Third-Party Services

VideoScribe uses the following third-party service:

• Deepgram: We use Deepgram's API for AI-powered speech-to-text transcription. Your video files are securely transmitted to Deepgram for processing and are subject to Deepgram's privacy policy.
• Vercel: Our backend infrastructure is hosted on Vercel's secure serverless platform.

5. Data Security

We implement several security measures to protect your data:

• All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption
• API keys and sensitive credentials are stored securely on our servers, never in the browser
• Files are processed in isolated, secure server environments
• Automatic cleanup ensures no data persistence

• Transparency: The extension clearly shows when files are being uploaded and processed
